Introduction of Shielding Tape

  • Release date:2020-04-09
  • Summary: Shielding tape is a kind of metal foil or conductive cloth with high conductive adhesive backing. Its conductive adhesive backing and conductive base material

Shielding tape is a kind of metal foil or conductive cloth with high conductive adhesive backing. Its conductive adhesive backing and conductive base material constitute a complete conductive body, which can be bonded with any metal surface to complete the electric lap and electric sealing of the gap. Shielding conductive tape is an economical and convenient shielding material.

It is used to seal the joints of EMI shielding room, shell and electronic equipment, wind cables for shielding, provide reliable grounding surface, and provide electrical contact for the surfaces that cannot be welded.
Shielding tape is a tape made of conductive adhesive on copper foil, aluminum foil, or conductive cloth. Its function is to connect two different metal parts electrically. Its working principle is to connect the metal particles in the conductive tape with the metal materials that make up the tape, thus forming a complete conductive body.

Because the metal particles are normally embedded in the pressure-sensitive adhesive, the conductive adhesive is not conductive. When using, it is necessary to press hard to make the metal particles pass through the adhesive layer, so as to make contact with the metal parts. This must be noted when using. In addition, when verifying the quality of a conductive tape, we can not directly measure the conductivity of the conductive tape, but we need to use the conductive tape to connect the two metals, and then measure the conductivity between the two metals, the smaller the resistance, the better.
